This novel car is in successful operation at M/s Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd. Jharsuguda & REPL has the honour of introducing the Innovative design “ FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE WORLD”.
Innovative car cuts down Arc Furnace cycle time, conserves electrical energy, shortens process time, reduces production cost, and saves substantial floor space of Steel Plant etc.

| ii) Waterless Shot collection System for Pig Casting Machine (PCM) |
All the draw backs of the conventional High Pressure water spray system for shot collection at metal take up point of PCM viz need of large quality of flushing water, high consumption of water, poor metal yield, contamination of water with metal shots, frequent breakdowns of water pumps etc. have been overcome in the REPL novel design which is in successful operation at M/s Essar Steel (Hazia) Ltd & cold commissioned at M/s KIOCL Ltd. Mangalore.

REPL is joining the band of the internationally renowned companies by developing Diesel Electric A.C. Loco with 100% indigenous know how & materials. Conventional Diesel Electric Locos are D.C. Superior Adhesion Level, Higher efficiency, lower fuel consumption, better reliability, wide load hauling range, simple & cheaper maintenance, reliable instrumentation & control and long service life features make A.C. system highly superior than D.C. system. It is well known that AC Diesel Electric Locomotives are fast replacing the D.C. Diesel Electric Loco during the last two decades. in Europe & USA.

| iv) Sintering cum Pelletization Test Ridge. |
REPL has designed, manufactured & installed at its R&D centre this novel test ridge which can take up both functions of Sintering & Pelletization.
Based on this novel design, REPL has supplied highly sophisticated sintering Test Ridge to M/s National Metallurgical Laboratories Jamshedpur (NML).
This novel test ridge is capable of attaining 1500°C under reducing atmosphere & has been provided with Data Acquisition system for conducting advanced studies.
